This is the most common question before booking. There is no single best technique — there is the one that suits your skin and your goal.
Powder brows
A soft pigment shading with no hard outline. The effect is as if the brows were lightly filled in with shadow or a pencil, except it does not wash off.
- Suits oily and combination skin, where hair strokes blur but shading holds well.
- Covers old, faded permanent makeup nicely.
- More forgiving: if your own hairs are sparse or nearly gone, shading creates the sense of fullness.
- Heals more calmly and usually looks more even.
Nano hair strokes
Individual hairs drawn by hand with ultra-fine needles, following the direction of your own. From a normal distance it does not read as makeup at all.
- Suits dry and normal skin, where the line stays crisp.
- Works best when you still have brows but with gaps in them.
- Gives the most natural result close up.
- On oily skin the strokes can blur over time — powder or a combination is the safer choice there.
The combined technique
Hair strokes at the head of the brow, where natural structure matters, and soft shading through the body and tail, where you want density. In practice it is the most common compromise when you want natural but your skin will not hold strokes alone.
How to decide
- Oily skin → powder or combined.
- Dry skin and your own hairs → hair strokes.
- Covering old grey permanent → powder.
- You want it to look untouched → hair strokes.
- You want a finished, defined shape every morning → powder.
